The ethno-cultural park "KAINYRAN" (translated from Koryak as "Bear's House") is located near the Zelenovskie springs, about 40 km from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky in a picturesque place.
The Koryaks are one of the indigenous peoples of Kamchatka, who live in the northeast of the peninsula and on the islands of the Commander Archipelago. The Koryaks have their own unique language, culture and traditions, which they preserve and pass on from generation to generation. Currently, about 2 thousand Koryaks live on the Kamchatka Peninsula. To preserve the culture and traditions, museums have been created in the Kamchatka Territory, festivals and competitions of national costumes and crafts are held. The Koryaks are engaged in fishing, sea mammal hunting and bear hunting. Traditionally, the Koryaks lived in round dugouts, but now most live in ordinary houses. The Koryaks believe in spirits of the natural world and perform rituals related to hunting and fishing. They are also known for their national dances and songs.
