The Nalychevo springs (the main group) are located in the valley of the left tributary of the Goryachaya River (the right tributary of the Pravaya Nalycheva River), on the territory of the Nalychevo Nature Park, 50 km north of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. There are more than 50 concentrated thermal water outlets on a gently sloping travertine (carbonate) dome with a diameter of about 150-200 m. After drilling in this area, the regime of the thermal springs was disrupted. Before drilling, the main outlet was a cauldron, from which the travertine cover-dome was formed as water flowed. The maximum temperature is 75 °C. The chemical composition of the water is sodium chloride with a total mineralization of 3.7-4.0 g / l, with a silicic acid content of 53-160 mg / l. A special feature of these thermal springs is the high content of metaboric acid - up to 360 mg / l. The composition of the spontaneous gas is carbon dioxide.
The area where the springs come out is an intermountain basin covered with a park forest of stone birch. The Nalychevo Valley is surrounded on all sides by majestic peaks of active and extinct volcanoes. There are 7 groups of thermal springs in the Nalychevo Basin. All of them are located in the basin of the Pravaya Nalycheva River sources.
