Around the world through Kamchatka

At the airport of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, five private light-engine aircraft landed on the round-the-world journey “Airjourney”.

As reported in the Kamchatka customs, citizens of the United States, Britain, Sweden and other countries (owners of private planes and members of their families) arrived on the peninsula from Japan. Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky became the first Russian air port on their way. Travelers plan to fly around the globe in 70 days, having overcome about 25-30 thousand km, and visit 24 countries. From Kamchatka, foreigners went to Anchorage (USA) through the city of Anadyr.

This is not the first round-the-world air expedition that visited Kamchatka. In 2016 the peninsula was visited by the participants of the round-the-world expedition “Epic Odyssey”.
