In Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, the opening of a new art object “Family of Steller Sea Lions” was held, which decorated the square at the city fountain for 6 km.
This event was a real holiday for the citizens who on July 1 came to the opening of the sculpture. Children were entertained by growth dolls, body-art courts were working, a bright performance of creative groups was held. With a salutatory word to all present the Head of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky urban district Vitaly Ivanenko addressed.
“This is a perfect example of socially responsible business, close interaction of the business community and the city administration. Thanks to everyone who participated in the creation and implementation of this project, “Vitaliy Ivanenko said.
He recalled that the art object “Family of Steller Sea Lovers” – a gift to Petropavlovsk and its residents from the business community. It was created and installed exclusively for the funds of the entrepreneurs themselves, who actively support the projects on the improvement of the city.
The remarkable event of the townspeople was also congratulated by the chairman of the City Duma of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky Galina Monakhova. She noted that the city today has accepted to itself one more family – “Seven Stewards”, which will become its kind symbol.
In Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, with the active participation of the business community, Steller’s sea lions were established on the territory of the Mokhovaya bay, wooden benches were installed in the form of colored pencils in the Silhouette micro district, the Green Alley was arranged in the center of the city where the Larga, already beloved by the townspeople, is located.
Recall that Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky is one of the three cities in the world, within the boundaries of which there are rookeries of Steller sea lions. They become a real attraction and a place that the citizens themselves and tourists actively attend. Accomplishment of rookeries in Petropavlovsk was undertaken by representatives of the business community.
