The Government of the Kamchatka and the Rosturizm agreed to organize a visa-free entry for tourists from China

The relevant agreement was signed by Governor Vladimir Ilyukhin and the head of Rostourism Oleg Safonov as part of the Days of the Far East in Moscow.

“For us, Kamchatka Krai is one of the most important regions in terms of tourism development. Kamchatka has enormous potential in terms of nature, hunting, fishing, development of cruise, event tourism, active sports. And I am very grateful to Vladimir Ivanovich for the fact that, in the person of the regional leadership, we receive comprehensive support and, ultimately, we see those indicators and dynamics of the tourist flow that clearly show the result and prospects of working together, ”said Oleg Safonov, head of the Federal Agency for Tourism .

The head of Rostourism noted that the department headed by him would provide full support to the Kamchatka Territory in promoting tourism products in both the domestic and international markets.

“Of course, we hope to further strengthen the relationship with Rosturizm. We see a serious increase in indicators in the tourism industry: this is the volume of investments in infrastructure, and the number of foreign tourists. Without the help of the federal agency with many tasks, we simply can not cope. The agreement signed today will certainly help the development of tourism in Kamchatka, ”Vladimir Ilyukhin emphasized.

The main purpose of the agreement is to support and develop inbound tourism from China to Russia in the framework of the Russian-Chinese visa-free tourist exchange.

“I hope that this will lead to the fact that an increasing number of Chinese tourists will come to Kamchatka Territory, work is being intensified to promote the tourist product in the markets of the Asia-Pacific region – very important, in fact – priority and very promising. Undoubtedly, one of the unique event events in Kamchatka is the race “Beringia” – this is a concrete example of how to develop tourism in the region, ”said Oleg Safonov.

Recall that on the eve of the Governor of the Kamchatka Territory Vladimir Ilyukhin took part in a meeting of the Council of Heads of Subjects at the Russian Foreign Ministry, where among the main issues the participants discussed the development of inbound tourism.
