The development corporation of Kamchatka has signed an agreement on cooperation with entrepreneur Mikhail Chernyshev, who intends to create a tourist base “Adventure Industry” in the area of the Topolov mountain range. Its main elements will be a ski slope equipped with a lift, as well as a pool with thermal water.
Entrepreneur focuses the project on clients with an average income. A hostel with 40 seats, a camping ground and a cafe will be built for them. Investments in the project exceed 13 and a half million rubles. At the tourist base, 16 people will be employed at the start of its operation.
According to Nikolai Pegin, director general of the Kamchatka Development Corporation, the KRCC intends to assist the businessman in obtaining state support and attracting funds from the federal, regional and local budgets for the implementation of the investment project. Pegin noted that the Corporation always takes special interest in projects in the tourist and recreational sphere. Tourism, along with the fishing complex, the mining industry, transport and the agro-industrial complex, is one of the sectors of the economy that have priority for the development of the region.
The vast territory of the Topolovy mountain range (175 sq. Km.) Is a large mountain chain, about 25 km long, stretching in the direction of “north-east-south-west”, which is 40 km from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky (Elizovo) airport. The Topolovy Ridge (948 m) is located in the Paratunsky resort area, where there are more than 35 recreation centers, which are famous for thermal mineral springs and therapeutic mud. Mountains Zaikin Cape (Chirelchik) and Babiy Kamen entering the Topolovy ridge are declared monuments of regional nature.
