Timonovskie thermal springs are located on the territory of the Timonovsky State Zoological Reserve, 90 km north-northwest of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, on both banks of the narrow valley of the left source of the Pad Timonovskaya River (left tributary of the Srednyaya Avacha River) approximately 2 km northwest of Mount Timonovskaya.
The springs discharge at the foot of the terrace, 3 - 3.5 m from the water's edge in the river. In total, there are about 15 griffins (springs).
The maximum temperature is 45 - 46 °C, but springs with a temperature of 23 - 33 °C are more common. The chemical composition of the water in all the griffins is similar and refers to sulfate-chloride-hydrocarbonate sodium with a total mineralization of 2.8 g / l, the content of silicic acid up to 220 mg / l. In addition, the water contains increased levels of bromine (up to 1.9 mg/l) and iodine (up to 0.33 mg/l).
