Feb 19, 2025
The opening of a new passenger terminal at the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky International Airport (MAPK) is planned for the spring of 2025.

As reported by the Kamchatka Krai Development Corporation, at a meeting with President Vladimir Putin, Russian Transport Minister Roman Starovoit announced the completion of the construction of the "apron and auxiliary infrastructure of the Elizovo airport, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky". They were built using federal budget funds and were specifically created to ensure the operation of the new MAPK airport complex. Its construction is being carried out within the framework of the investment and shareholder agreements signed between the management company "Airports of Regions" and the Kamchatka Development Corporation.

The completion of the main construction work in the passenger terminal was announced at the recently held Kamchatka Investment Forum by the Director of Strategic Communications of the Management Company "Airports of Regions" Evgeny Krasikov. The installation, adjustment and testing of passenger service systems is underway in the new airport complex. According to Evgeny Krasikov, the new terminal will not only be one of the most beautiful in the country and the world, but also one of the most modern. It will be equipped with a self-service passenger check-in and baggage drop-off system developed in Russia.
