More than 400 athletes will compete for awards at the Snowy Way festival in Petropavlovsk

Active preparations are underway in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky for the Snow Way winter sports festival, less than a week left until it takes place.

The tenth Snow Way festival will be held on March 1 near the Lesnaya ski base in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. The first thematic areas will open at 12:00, the official opening is scheduled for 13:00. According to the organizers, more than 400 athletes from 10 sports federations of the region will take part in the Snow Way festival. The sports festival will include a test drive, Jeep Sprint, Power Extreme, competitions in sled dog and motorcycle sports, weight pulling, winter golf, a gorodki tournament and other sports events. Entertainment areas and photo zones will be open for festival guests, everyone can enjoy games, competitions and round dances. On March 1, the anniversary "Snow Path" will also celebrate the wide Maslenitsa festival at a separate site. A traditional Maslenitsa pole with prizes will be installed in the festive town, visitors will be treated to pancakes, and at the end of the folk festivities, a ceremony of burning an effigy of winter will take place. The ninth "Snow Path" festival took place in the area of ​​the "Lesnaya" ski resort exactly one year ago - on February 23, on Defender of the Fatherland Day, and gathered more than 10 thousand guests on its sports and entertainment sites.
