Kamchatka skier wins gold at Russian championship in downhill skiing

In Elizovo, on March 3, on Mount Moroznaya, men and boys competed in the downhill of the Russian Championship and Junior Championship.

18-year-old Master of Sports Miron Shcherbakov won the gold medal of the Russian Championship. In the men's category, Kamchatka skiers did not make it into the prize winners, and the champion was the athlete from St. Petersburg Pavel Trikhichev.

Kamchatka's Nikita Alekhine missed the "bronze" by 14 hundredths of a second. Let us recall that on March 2, on the first day of competition, 27-year-old Yulia Pleshkova won the gold medal in the downhill among women. Among the girls, the "bronze" of the championship is in the assets of 19-year-old Daria Popkova. On March 4, on Mount Moroznaya, the competitions of the Russian Championship and Junior Championship among men and women in the super-G will be held.
