April 2, Kamchatka Krai – Due to rising temperatures, authorities have suspended travel on the Anavgay-Palana winter road and the Tigil River ice crossing effective midday April 2, according to the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for Kamchatka Krai.
Anavgay-Palana Winter Road: Closed between 16 km and 241 km (stretch from Anavgay to Tigil villages).
Tigil River Crossing: All vehicle traffic prohibited due to unsafe ice conditions.
Only two ice crossings remain open in Kamchatka:
Skrytaya Bay / Korfa Bay Crossing (Olyutorsky District)
Route: Korf ↔ Tilichiki, Max capacity: 20 tons
Penzhina River Crossing (Penzhinsky District)
Route: Kamenskoye ↔ Manily, Max capacity: 17 tons
