Since the beginning of the year, Rosselkhoznadzor (Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance) inspectors have overseen the export of 8.9 thousand tons of fish products and fishmeal from Kamchatka.
From early January to April 10, 485 batches of fish, caviar, and seafood (totaling 6.9 thousand tons) were cleared for export, along with 98 batches of fishmeal (weighing 2 thousand tons).
This year, Kamchatka’s producers have shipped fish products and fishmeal to seven countries: China, South Korea, Japan, France, Italy, the Netherlands, and Denmark. The largest importer was China (5.4 thousand tons).
For comparison, in the previous year, Kamchatka exported seafood to 15 countries, with China dominating shipments, followed by Japan in second place and South Korea in third. Other destinations included Denmark, the Netherlands, Poland, France, Norway, Italy, and others.
