Russia’s flagship carrier Aeroflot has unveiled a new gourmet dining concept showcasing regional specialties on flights departing from Far Eastern and Siberian hubs. Business class travelers flying from Vladivostok, Khabarovsk, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, and Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk will now be treated to locally inspired lunch and dinner sets.
Developed in partnership with area chefs and producers, the menus spotlight distinctive regional flavors – think Kamchatka crab, Sakhalin scallops, foraged ferns, and Asian-infused Russian dishes accompanied by house-made condiments. The move aligns with Aeroflot’s commitment to domestic sourcing: 90% of inflight provisions now hail from Russian suppliers, with local wines accounting for 70% of the onboard selection – a significant year-on-year increase.
