In most parts of the region, the average air temperature was close to normal. However, warmer weather was observed in the western part of the peninsula, as well as in the eastern areas of Ust-Kamchatsky and Karaginsky districts, with temperatures 1.5–4°C above average.
In late May, the central part of the peninsula experienced a rise in daily average temperatures above 10°C, marking the beginning of summer. This shift also occurred in the Penzhinsky district and some southeastern areas in early June.
*"Summer arrived in these regions 11–18 days earlier than the long-term average,"* reported the Hydrometeorological Center.
Under the influence of cyclones at the end of the decade, heavy rains hit southern Kamchatka, with precipitation exceeding the ten-day norm by 1.3–3 times. Meanwhile, dry conditions prevailed in the northern areas, where rainfall was below average.
