Youth Day Celebrations in Petropavlovsk to Coincide with Kamchatka Krai Day

Jun 25, 2025

On June 28, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky will host festivities dedicated to Youth Day and the 18th anniversary of the formation of Kamchatka Krai, according to the city administration.

Organizers have prepared an extensive program that will run throughout the day across multiple venues: Spartak Sports Park, the skate park, the waterfront along Ozernovskaya Spit (where traffic will be restricted), near the monument to St. Apostles Peter and Paul, on the shore of Kultuchnoye Lake (at the city’s "Ecosystem" site), and near the City of Military Glory stele.

The celebrations will kick off at noon at Spartak Sports Park with sports competitions. At 3:00 PM, a concert featuring local cover bands and a guest performance will begin on the main stage near the City of Military Glory stele. At 7:00 PM, city and regional officials will deliver speeches, after which the festivities will continue. Throughout the day, festive food courts and market stalls will be open in the city center.

Entry to the event areas will only be permitted through security checkpoints with arch metal detectors. Attendees are prohibited from bringing alcohol, hazardous substances or objects, fireworks, or drones.

From 2:00 PM to 9:30 PM, traffic restrictions will be in place on Ozernovskaya Spit Street near Kultuchnoye Lake, extending to the event zone adjacent to the City of Military Glory stele.

The city administration warned that the event may be postponed in case of bad weather.
