A large-scale landscaping project is continuing at the Vitus Bering Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky (Yelizovo) International Airport to transform the forecourt of the new terminal into a comfort zone, according to a statement from the airport to the KAMCHATKA-INFORM News Agency.

Under the guidance of professional landscape designers, airport staff have planted over 100 mountain pine and spruce trees. This marks a significant step in creating a unique green space that reflects the peninsula's distinctive natural beauty. All plants underwent a year of acclimatization in a nursery under the careful supervision of experienced gardeners.

"We are creating a comfortable atmosphere for our passengers and aim to ensure that our forecourt area harmonizes with Kamchatka's natural beauty, looking authentic and natural," emphasized Sergey Bubnov, the Executive Director of Kamchatka's main air gateway.

In addition to the greenery, a modern parking complex has been installed on the forecourt. For passenger convenience, it features a pick-up and drop-off zone with 15 minutes of free parking, as well as short-term and long-term parking areas.

A free parking lot with 150 spaces, located near the roundabout before the airport entrance, has also been provided.
