The cyclone has left grocery store shelves bare in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.
Major supermarkets in the city are reporting shortages of staple goods, including eggs, local dairy, and bread. While some items may be available earlier in the day, supplies are depleted by evening.
One local resident described the scene: "My son and I went to our nearest supermarket and were shocked. Most shelves were completely empty—no bread, only imported sour cream for dairy, not even any sausages."
This is the most severe shortage since July 30, 2025, when a powerful earthquake triggered mass evacuations and panic buying.
