Victory in Moscow's parallel slalom marks a confident start ahead of the home competitions in Kamchatka.

Kamchatka alpine skier Ivan Kuznetsov has claimed victory at a prestigious event—the Russian Cup stage in parallel slalom. The decisive races took place on February 7th on the legendary slopes of Vorobyovy Gory in Moscow.

In a tense final, Kuznetsov left no chance to his opponent—Alexander Andrienko from the Kaluga region—demonstrating excellent technique and speed. This victory is especially significant with major upcoming competitions on the horizon.

From February 15th to 23rd, the attention of the alpine skiing community will shift to Kamchatka. Large-scale sporting events will be held there: the Russian Championship and National Cup, as well as another stage of the Russian Cup in various disciplines. The region's top athletes are expected to participate.

Among them will be the 29-year-old Master of Sport of International Class and the newly minted winner of the Moscow stage, Ivan Kuznetsov. The competitions will also be graced by the presence of experienced Italian Olympian and Kamchatka skier Yulia Pleshkova. The upcoming events promise to be thrilling and will determine the leaders of the domestic alpine skiing season this year.
