This year's flagship winter sports festival, "Snow Path-2026," will take place in downtown Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky on a fresh venue, city hall officials announced.

The location shift stems from the need for heavy machinery to prepare the original site, which is currently tied up clearing snow from urban areas. To avoid disrupting those efforts, organizers opted to relocate the event. They'll also tweak the program for the occasion. Entering its 11th edition in 2026, "Snow Path" has become a hallmark of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky's event calendar. It serves as a companion to the iconic Kamchatka dog-sled race, the Beringia.
