The series of residual tremors off the coast of the peninsula shows no signs of stopping. According to the regional branch of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, seismologists registered seven aftershocks over the past 24 hours, with magnitudes reaching up to 5.4. Fortunately, all of them went unfelt by the population.
In addition to the restless geological situation, experts are monitoring four volcanoes — Bezymyanny, Shiveluch, Klyuchevskoy, and Krasheninnikov — where increased activity persists. The agency reminded residents about the importance of having an "emergency kit" ready: safety rules should not be forgotten, especially considering that last year's earthquake on July 30 (with a magnitude of 8.8) was the most powerful in the region in the last 70 years.
