Scientists are continuing to record aftershocks off the coast of the peninsula following the powerful earthquake last July, the regional branch of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) reported to RAI "KAMCHATKA-INFORM".
Over the past 24 hours, 10 imperceptible seismic events with magnitudes ranging from 3.5 to 4.8 have been recorded. Scientists assess the current level of seismicity off the coast of the peninsula as elevated.
The emergency agency also noted that activity persists at the Bezymyanny, Shiveluch, Klyuchevskoy, and Krasheninnikov volcanoes. Residents and visitors to the region are strongly advised not to approach these volcanic giants.
