For the first time, the Russian Biathlon Championship was held in Kamchatka.
From March 24 to 31, the Vitaly Fatyanov Biathlon Complex hosted the national junior championship for athletes aged 19–20, bringing together competitors from 21 regions across Russia — 37 young men and 36 young women.
Medals were awarded in several events: the supersprint, mixed relay (1+1), mass start, and the classic mixed relay (2+2), which included two women’s and two men’s stages.
According to Maxim Ikhsanov, head coach of the Kamchatka regional biathlon team, the competition was organized at a high level and ran smoothly. Spectators were admitted free of charge.
