Inspectors from the network of nature parks "Volcanoes of Kamchatka" discovered fresh bear tracks while patrolling the area around Nachikinskoye Lake. Officials believe at least four predators are roaming near the water.
The park administration is urging tourists — especially snowmobilers and travelers actively exploring the lake's surroundings at this time of year — to exercise extreme caution.
"Do not approach the tracks or search for the animals for the sake of a photo: wildlife is unpredictable. If you see a bear or fresh tracks, report it to the park office by calling +7-961-963-95-59," the agency warned. They also reminded visitors to check the route's status with the park administration before heading out, follow safety rules, travel in groups, and never leave food in open areas. Most of Kamchatka's bears have already emerged from their dens and are actively foraging for food.
